Golf Format:
Golfers will be playing team golf for each challenge and grouped into foursomes. There will be three separate challenges with a point system applied for each portion of the competition. The challenges and scoring overview are listed below:
Longest Drive Challenge
Each golfer in each foursome will tee off three times in succession and the best drive of each golfer will get tallied up for a total distance of the group. Once each golfer completes the drives, the foursome will select one golfer for the bonus round. The selected golfer will get two final drives, where the best drive out of the two will be added to the group’s total distance. The top five groups will generate points for their teams. Scoring system:
1st Place – 10 Points
2nd Place – 8 Points
3rd Place – 6 Points
4th Place – 4 Points
5th Place – 2 Points
Pitching – Hit the Target Challenge
There will be two separate targets for this challenge, with one target being marked at 50 years out and the other 100 yards out. Each golfer in each foursome will get two opportunities to hit each target. Once every golfer has completed their shots the foursome will select one golfer or two golfers for the bonus round. The bonus round will give the golfers two more opportunities to hit a target (four shots in total). The golfers can decide which target they would like to attempt to hit. Scoring system:
If a golfer hits the target marked 50 – 5 Points will be awarded for each time it’s hit
If a golfer hits the target marked 100 – 10 Points will be awarded for each time it’s hit
Putting Challenge
Each golfer in each foursome will get five putts to sink a 25 foot putt. The first four putts will be with a normal putter, while the final putt will be attempted with a hockey stick.
If a golfer sinks a putt with their own putter – 2 Points will be awarded for the putt
If a golfer sinks a putt with the hockey stick – 8 Points will be awarded for the putt
The foursome with the most points at the end of the three challenges will win the competition. If there is a tie, there will be a closest to the pin chip off competition between the two groups to determine the winner. Each golfer in the winning group will receive two 2 day VIP tickets to the 2025 Grand Tasting (valued at $1,550) and a Magnum of Whispering Angel.
