With nearly 30 years of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Bryn McArthur brings his exceptional cooking background, masterful skills, and passion for being in the kitchen to the Fairmont Grand Del Mar as Executive Chef at Amaya. McArthur began his career working with independent restaurants before transitioning to hotel work in 2005 where he has since worked with the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and most recently at The Savoy in London as the Chef de Cuisine. He has worked alongside a number of talented chefs including Chris Beal, Robert LeCrom, Joseph Schafter, and more. McArthur’s love for cooking began at a young age through family dinners and watching his parents skillfully maneuver around the kitchen. He is excited to create new and flavorful dishes for guests looking to escape to the elegant restaurant nestled in the majestic resort surrounded by the coastal canyon. In his free time, McArthur enjoys walking his dog, visiting local markets, cooking at home, and riding his bike around beautiful San Diego.
